I would highly recommend these guys if you are in the area and need work done. They can do it all and have many different machines at thier shop at any given time. Things took a little longer than expaected, but I am overly pleased with everything they did. Matt, Miguel, and Keith, you guys are awesome to work with. I will definitly be back when my wallet catches its breath. :D Heres a link to thier site.

Well, I just picked up the car from them again, this time with the new water pump and opti. I got home and was expecting to have to do a little clean up under the hood from all the coolant. Nope, that isnt the case. :P They cleaned everything up and it is much cleaner than before the water pump took a dive. I cant say enough about these guys, they are top notch all the way. They definitly have a new customer for as long as I own a vette. BTW, the new water pump kind of makes everything else look dull and grey. Any suggestions on cleaning the a/c compressor, alternator, and ECM to get them looking good?

hey J...glad it worked out. I kinda noticed that problem too. I guess a dremel and some metal polish would do the trick. :P

These are the guys that built the motor in my GS. It seems to be holding together very well. The previous owner of my car was the one that had all the work done by them. He must've had faith in them too, because from the looks of the receipts he gave them a lot of money for it. :) :)

Ahhhh, so yours is the GS that they are telling me about. They said they did some serious work on a GS a while back, but didnt remember the number or anything. Gives me a little more confidence when it comes time to tear into the motor. :) :)

Update: The shop has closed thier doors. I am a little upset that they did, because of all the different shops in all the different states I have lived in, they were the only shop that I felt 100% confident in leaving my car there. They really did top notch work and were very detail oriented. I was ready for them to be the people to build my motor and make #163 a real screamer. I guess if there is a silver lining in this story, it is that I will be able to hold onto my money for a while until I can find someone that I can trust with my car. I guess I could always send it to Orlando, I have heard there is a good shop that has experience building LT4s.

Damn that sux J. I hope you don't have any warranty issues in the future. If you didn't live so far, I'd hook you up with my guy here in tampa. He is and has been a vette guy forever. Trustworthy and very knowledgeable. I love his 71 LT1/4spd...it's sweet and fast! Only guy I trust around here
