Still wating for mine. ;)

As are most everyone else. ;)

They are being shipped slowly, though, so I beg everyone's patience. Thanks! :yesnod:

Yeh, like all the rest of us except for a lucky two!

I did finally reach my contact at Al Knoch's on Friday. He was busy loading up their truck for the Bloomington Gold show but promised me he would go to their shop manager and find out what the hold up was. He didn't call me back today so I'll call them again tomorrow.

I'll keep pushing them but please try to be patient. No preferential treatment here... I'm waiting on two sets myself. According to our very own GS Diva (Elaine #582), the results are well worth it! Check on the red on red interior she's having installed as we speak!

Its cool, Im in no hurry to get them, just curious if they had been shipped out yet. :o

As for Elaines interior, I think it looks sweet, wasnt someone asking about red carpet in a GS a while back? May have to talk myself into doing that to #163. Ill be waiting to see pics of the final outcome, should look killer.

The red on red is a look that I think you either love or you hate...and I love it!! Of course, my husband, Alan, has an '02 Electron Blue convertible with Torch Red interior and a white top so I've had a couple of years to have it really grow on me. Of course, his Torch Red seats seem to be "redder" than the Torch Red GS seats so it's not quite the same look. Will post pictures when it's all done.

Here are a couple of Alan's ...

Elaine, I love it. I saw a CE a while back with red interior and thought that it looked sweet. I had started a thread a few weeks back inquiring about red carpet and all the red plastic trim pieces. I have heard that there are some red pieces that are near impossible to find anymore. I cant wait to see how yours turns out. Like I said earlier, Im sure it will look killer.

Jason, I'm not sure just how far I'm going to go with the red! I'm going to live with it as it is for a while and see if I "need" more red! AFter all, I'm not trying to pass GS582 off as an original red guts GS...I just love the red seats and carpeting. That might be enough...but then, one never knows!

I'll post good pictures when it's completed.

Just picked up the GS...it's unbelievable!! The red seats/carpet combination should most definitely have been part of the original Grand Sport package! I'll post pictures later.

Here are 3 pictures I took today. One shows the black carpet saver I put in on the driver's side so it doesn't show the true red floor. I've already ordered Torch Red carpet savers!

Looks great, you gonna try to get red door panels and all the other trim pieces? Either way, I think it looks awesome and is something I think I may ultimately try to do to #163.

Jason,

At this time, I think I'm going to just sit back and enjoy it just the way it looks now! Besides, I've already blown the GS budget for 2005!! Maybe next year!

Congrats, Elaine! Looks awesome and is a very nice custom touch. Have fun with it!

BTW... Peter Siltumen's just received one of the two sets of seat covers he ordered so they ARE shipping them out, albeit slowly. I'll keep the pressure on them.
