I've just struck a deal with Al Knoch Interiors for their reproduction 1996 Grand Sport seat covers. Available in either RED or BLACK, these seat covers are a perfect match to the original OEM Grand Sport sport seats. They are made of quality leather to match the originals, right down to the precise stitching of the "Grand Sport" logo in the seat rests and the perforated material in the inner seat surface. And unlike the factory replacement seat covers, Al's comes with new seat foam already attached to the leather covers. This not only makes for an easier installation, but makes the seats look truly new when installed. Al's stuff is always top quality, and these seat covers are no different.

Before they were discontinued, new OEM replacement seat covers cost over $2600 for both seats. Al's regular retail on these is $1299. The GSR member's price WAS $1050 plus $30 shipping. Not a bad price.

But under this new deal, if we order THREE sets or more, we can get them for just...

$850 + shipping ($875 total) if paid by cash, check, or money order ...or... $875 + shipping ($900 total) if paid by PayPal or CreditCard Note: GSR Lifetime Members may deduct $25 from these prices.

Orders must be placed through the GSR. The drop-dead due date is Friday, April 29th meaning I *MUST* have your payment in hand by that date. No extensions!

I will place the order on Saturday, April 30th. Shipping will be via UPS Ground so you should allow 2 weeks or so for delivery.

Just to back up what Hutch said, Al's work is top quality. A buddy here ordered a set for his CE in Red and I was completely amazed in the work, these seats are a steal at that price! I hope someone jumps on this.

And Hutch see is he will cut me a deal on just ONE GS Red seat cover driver or passanger, I would like to have a office chair made.

Hutch, darn it all. You need to stop spending my money. Im really serious. Just sent payment. I like the idea of making anf office chair. That would look sweet in my GS themed office that Im creating in my head.

Daniel -- That's a neat idea. If I'm not mistaken, Mike "Corvette" Conti had a Grand Sport office chair that someone stole at Carlisle a couple years ago. What a shame.

I imagine they would be willing to sell you just one seat cover for ~ 1/2 the price. Let me know if you are serious and I'll check.

Hey Hutch, was curious if Al Knoch has ever made a shift boot for the C4. Checked out his site and didnt see anything. Was thinking that would be cool to have one made in red that was the same color and leather as the seats. Whaddya think?

Jason -- Nope, Al Knoch's hasn't done any shift boots. That would be more in the purview of someone like Vette Essentials but he concentrates solely on the C5 (and soon the C6, I imagine). He makes GREAT stuff as I had several of his components in my old Z06 Convertible.



I'll ask if he would be interested in making any red C4 shift boots. We might have to come up with a donor boot they could use for a template, though.

The seat covers have been ordered and will be drop shipped individually. I didn't bug Al Knoch's about an estimated delivery time but I'd give 'em 4 weeks to be safe.

Sure hope they come out nice. I bought TWO sets, myself! Never going to find them this cheap again, that's for sure.

Spoke to Al Knoch's today to confirm our order. Everything looks good. They will do these in batches so some folks will get them earlier, anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks. Al says they are awesome seats! Can't wait to get ours!

I apologize to everyone who ordered these for the delay. It seems that Knoch's is taking their sweet time building and shipping these. Ah, but perfection takes time, I guess.
