Sad news. Just heard that GSR Lifetime Member Julie Grooms from Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away Monday morning (1/14/08) about 8:30. She was at home surrounded by family after a valiant fight with cancer. Her services are pending at Johnson's Funeral Home in Lake Charles. The GSR will send a card and flowers. A few of us also pitched in and bought her a couple of NCM bricks last year which she really appreciated.
Our little "GSR Cheerleader" loved all Corvettes, especially the GS, and will be missed by all those that were fortunate enough to know her. Our lives were enriched by her presence, her smile, and infectious enthusiasm for all things Corvette.
