I have a 2010 GS Coupe Auto, I know some of you purest don't like autos. But all my other cars a stick and I wanted to drive an Auto. Anyway, my engine seems to idle too low, at about 650 rpm. It also seems to have a slightly rough idle, almost as if it had a cam with a lot of duration. Anyone experience the same?

Hey, Richard. There's no such snobbery going on around here. I love rowing through the gears, but I admit that everytime I get stuck in I-4 traffic I start wishing I had an auto trans, too!

Don't know what could be causing your rough idle on such a new car. Sounds like a trip to your local Mr Goodwrench may be in order.

You might get a better response to your query on the GSR Email list, though. It has a much wider audience than our Forum. Cheers!

My 2010 has 650 miles on it and I noticed the same. I don't believe it is a problem since the car is running fine and performance is outstanding

The GS LS3 does have a mild lift cam according to the Corvette GS brochure. Mine does the same thing.

My engine sounds rough but notice the tach it doesn't move. I think what we are hearing is just the NPP exhaust. But 650 is normal for the idle.

I'm picking my GS Vert 6-Speed at the museum on 4-26 along with a friend that has an 08 Z06. I suggested that we do a cannonball run to N. CA by way of Rt.66. As soon as I get out of jail in KY I'll let you know how it idled while they put the cuffs on me.

Seriously, looking forward to the entire trip on Rt 66 and will be checking on the low idle you mentioned...R
