A few years ago I installed a R-D Racing Camber Brace on the front suspension of GS872. As luck would have it, I need to replace the belt tensioner and serpentine belt. Unfortunately, CRS syndrome has rendered my memory completely void of any hint as to how this brace goes into or comes out of the car! Also unfortunate is the fact that the phone number listed on the company's web site is not working...never a good sign.
I do recall when I installed it that I wrestled mightily with it for a long time before it finally just fell into place!
Those of you who have this brace will know that it performs its job wonderfully. However, it is made of heavy gauge square tube steel with two very heavy notched brackets which fit in to the upper, front bolt on each side of the front suspension. There is no flex in this piece and the various hoses, tubes, etc. between the engine and radiator make this job a real pain in the butt.
In the meantime, GS872 is sitting in my garage just looking good and taking up space. Any advice from the Grand Sport brother- and sister-hood would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Bill. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone (other than you) that has an R-D Racing Camber Brace installed in a C4 Corvette, Grand Sport or otherwise.
If memory serves (no guarantee there!), they are no longer in business which doesn't help you out much.
If you don't get any replies here, you might try posting your query to the GSR Mailing List for more visibility.
Good Luck!

Hutch,
I finally figured out how to remove the brace and how to get it back on after I finished replacing the belt tensioner and the belt. I did get a response along with instructions from Mike Moro at R-D Racing. The company has moved to Phoenix. I now have the installation instructions and can email it to anyone who needs it.

Ah, that's good news, Bill. Glad you got it figured out and that R-D Racing is still around. We need more of those good folks!
Cheers!
