My 1996 LT4 conv. has the clasic A/C Problem discussed in Tech Tips Index #8 "A/C Poblem #2 (Cool air blows out the defrost vents and the floor vents, but none comes out of the mid-dash vents). We have tried all of the diagnostic tips listed in the Tech Tips to no avail. What we have found is that we have vacuum at the engine, but no vacuum at the black line at the PROG MODULE. We have tried clearing the line with air presure and by pushing a multi stranded "picture hanger wire" thru the black line from the engine end. Does anyone have any other suggestions before we attempt to run a new vacuum supply line from the engine to the Module by penetrating the firewall in some location (any ideas here as well would be appreciated). Thanks for any ideas on this overall problem.
