P.S. Bills seat bezels are very nice and are exactly as described

I look forward very much to meeting you all in Carlisle. B)

My name is Jim Mayer and I just bought my first Corvette, GS #913. I have litterly been around Corvettes all of my life as I grew up in Ashtabula Ohio about 100 yds from the Morrison Molded Fiberglass plant. That is where the process of manufacturing fiberglass autobody parts was developed and is where the bodies for the early Corvettes were made (Studebaker Avanti's too). Guess you can say I have Styrene in my blood!
Currently I live in Southeren California where I work for the Dept. of the Navy as a civilian employee.
Glad to be a member of the GSR.

Hello fellow GS nuts. I became a GS nut last year when I bought #0074 from it's reluctant seller in Dallas, Texas. It sure was a pleasure to drive it home to Central Oregon - never did get a chance to really "check it out" though. Wasn't willing to take a chance on blowing something on my "new" pride and joy.

My bride of 12 years and I have previously owned 4 vettes - so far - 76 coupe, 81 coupe in her favorite color (black on black) and 2 different 82 Collector Editions but this one will be a permanent member of the family even if we have more later. The GS is such a pleasure to own, to drive and to show off :yesnod:

I would like to congratulate all the GS members that have made the GSR such a great place for GS owners to share information. The data available on each VIN is priceless. THANKS! I hope to chat with you all frequently and maybe one day see you in person. I was in Mickey Mouse land (Fla) last Christmas and had the pleasure of stopping by Roger's Corvettes to see his stable of beauties. Had hoped to say Hi to the Skunk Master but ran out of time. Maybe next time.

We belong to the local Corvette club - High Desert Corvettes - and try to attend as many events as possible. We're a small club but a great bunch and would you believe - here in the middle of nowhere, there are 2 Grand Sports in the club. Unfortunately, only one of them is mine.

BTW, I tried out the GS windshield decal and I think it looks pretty cool. Also, I was fortunate enough to get one of the GS zippo lighters with the same number as my car - #074. Not too shabby for a new kid on the block eh.

Thanks for the opportunity to participate in a great organization the Grand Sport Registry.

Hi Guys, welcome to GSR and a great group of skunk lovers. Jim #919, must be something in the Ohio water that makes us love Corvettes. Glad another Ohio guy has the honor to own a Grand Sport. Being in "sunny" California will make your car happier than it would in my neck of the woods and your enjoyment of her is just that mutch more.

Milo#0074, can't believe your luck in getting that numbered zippo....watch out, the collector bug will bite you if your not careful.Sounds like a great group you hang out with , 2 of you GS guys together is cool. I was amazed after I got old #357 that there are 7 Grand Sports in the Columbus,Ohio area. Maybe we will start our own local club

Hi, I'm Win from Jax, FL. I just bought #875 from Roger's Corvettes in Orlando. This is the second GS that I have owned and the seventh Corvette overall. I've always loved vettes since my brother brought home a '63 from the Chevrolet dealer down the street when I was too young to drive. I drove my first vette from that same dealer in '69 when the dealer let me drive a new '69 from one store to another. I couldn't get the smile off my face for days. I bought my first vette in '75. It was silver/silver and to me, at the time, it was gorgeous. Since then I've owned a '73 454, '82, '84(nuf said), '93 LT1, '86 GS #294, and now GS #875. I'm excited to be part of the GS registry. Since being part of NCM, I've always followed the GS movement and I am glad to finally be part of it. Thanks Hutch for your help in signing up. Win

Forgot to mention, GS 875 only had 9036 miles on it when I bought it. Even though I'm going to TRY to keep the miles down, it's really hard to do so. This thing drives likes it just came off the showroom floor. I'm trying hard not to keep the Corvette smile from returning all the time but what the hey. Thanks again, Win
