I'm Martin Hauser and my wife Nancy and I live on the southern Oregon coast in Bandon. I just purchased GS906 from a great guy in Houston that advertised the car on the GS Registry site. The car is now waiting to be shipped. I have loved the look of the GS for years, but don't see them often here in Oregon. One from California showed up for our corvette club's show a couple of weeks ago and won first place in the C4 class. It got me to thinking I needed to have one ! I have a 99 Corvette Coupe and my wife owns a 2000 Corvette convertible, so we aren't new to the Corvette culture. I'm a member and frequent visitor to the Corvetteforum.com website and will be visiting here often to learn as much as I can about these exciting cars ! Here's a picture of my 99 Coupe.

Lots of great folks here so if you have any questions about your Skunk, don't hesitate to ask away.
And if at all possible, DO try to make it to Corvettes at Carlisle this year. We'll be there in force!

I am John from the Netherlands and I am qurious for the Grand Sport Corvette. I hope you don't mind that I ask soms things here.
I am 42, almost father of 4 girls (one is cumming up in november) and my interest is the corvette. I can talk some corvette language, because I had some vette's in the past and recenty I own a 1998 C5 six-speed coupe with some mods. I am a normal guy (exept the corvette-thing) and I work as a constructor of dry-walls, wich I have my own company in.
Here you can find a picture of my vette:

I had the loan in place, price negotiated, 10k cashiers in hand for down payment. Drove 3 hours, one way, to pick up the GS. Get there. Dealer says, oops, it won't pass smog and we don't know why. It's off the market.
So, they ran my credit, no problem. Lender fully approved me, no problem. I had the down, no problem.
Should they get their act together, I may reconsider. In the meantime, I just picked up a nice 95 ZR1.
