Hi Jimmy. Ditto what Jason said. We're glad to have you here and you are more than welcome. If we don't know the answer to a particular GS question you might have, we'll find it!

Although not necessary to make use of the GSR Forum and most of the web site, keep in mind that GS ownership is not a requirement to become a GSR Member. :yesnod:

Cheers!

I would like to present the youngest Grand Sport lover among us (for now). Miles Alexander Yates was born on 12-14-04 and weighed 7lbs 6oz. My new kid and wife are doing very well. He says he's looking forward to driving mommy and daddy's cars. Here are some pics.

He got this cool toybox from one of my friends that knows I'm a GS fanatic. He tells me that the white stripes and red hashes are exactly half scale. He pays good attention to detail and the toybox is very heavy duty. Hopefully I'll get to inherit it one day when Miles has outgrown it. Thanks for letting me share. :yesnod:

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say thanks for featuring my C6 Grand Sport as the STINKER OF THE WEEK in FEB OF 2005 ( that's a good thing, right?! :D )
Rick"Corvette"Conti here...serious about Corvette representation....
The GS is a special car to me, besides that I love it,
it was the 1st Corvette my oldest son sat it and some how it has always had a special place with me....it was a Convertible with the red seats....
In fact I had two Red GS seats made into office chairs...only to have one stolen while at the Cleveland Car Show in 2004....
Still not happy about that
Life goes on and i'm glad to see such a nice community for Grand Sports here on the web...cool, very cool!

Rick, welcome to the GSR. I love the C6 that you did to look like a GS. We are wondering if you will do a Z06 with the same treatment. Hope so. Anyhow, welcome again.

I would love to say YES..but knowing that availability is certainly an issue.I'm confident all Z's will be sold before they arrive....not giving me any time to play around with it......
:D
here is a pic of ONE SIDE of under the engine done...man, I talked with a few body shops and becaus ethis was labor intensive, nobody wanted to take the time....finally found a guy and it's just a nice little added touch to the whole car....Just a good looker, now if someone wants to do something to the engine, cool...my mission is complete

Wow, I really got behind the times here. Let me try to catch up...

Jimmy -- WELCOME to the GSR Forum! Kick your shoes off and make yourself comfortable. You are more than welcome here!

Brian -- I don't know how an ugly cuss like you managed to conceive such an adorable cutie like that but CONGRATULATIONS anyway! Young Miles obviously got his good looks from Mandy and I know where his love for Corvettes will come from! And that's a super looking toybox. Must be about time for another Hashmarks Photo Contest! Well done and congrats to you both. Hope you can make it to the Gathering!

Rick -- The LS2 looks awesome with that touch of GS-class. Well done and welcome to the GSR Forum. Glad to have you around. Any luck working out any discounts or specials for GSR Members? Hey... I gotta ask! :yesnod:

Hello:

My name is Joel Gawronski and I own GS853, a Convertible with Black Guts. I live in New Berlin, Wisconsin and have owned the car since 1997. It currently has 6000 miles on it without any mods.

I am a Corvette enthusiast, but have always thought the GS looked the best. I also own a 2002 Lingenfelter Z06 with 2917 miles on the odometer.

I am not able to make the events the the GS Registry puts on due to my volleyball schedule, but one day hope to meet all of you at some point in time.

Thanks to all for all of the information on this site, as it is truely a pleasure for me to be invited with the GS group.

Hi one and all! We've been memebers of the GSR for over a year and I've lurked here since we joined. Well, we are no longer just lurkers, we are now the owners of GS #730. We bought the car from Joe Conte at Contes Corvettes and Classics (www.contes.com) in South Jersey about a month ago.

Needless to say, the car is a blast to drive and noticably quicker than our old ' 94 that we sold. GS #730 is an F-45 Coupe with the red/black interior that does clash quite a bit with its garage-mate, a ' 98 Pace Car. I guess that's just a price we'll have to pay.

We have nothing but praise for Joe Conte - he's a class act all the way. He agreed to change the oil/filter, change the coolant and change the brake fluid, all for free. He also stored the car inside for a month after the sale due to the crummy weather here in the northeast at the time. He threw in free T-shirts for us and called about a week after we took delivery to make sure everything was O.K.

We live in Alexandria VA, and also have a ' 66 coupe that we use for vintage rallies - in fact, we are off the Arizona in a couple of weeks for the Copperatate 1000. We are certainly looking forward to the warm weather!!!

If anyone is ever in the DC area, give us a shout and we'll get together and tell GS stories.

Congrats on the GS. I like the options you have. You have a '66 too, very nice. Welcome to the GSR, you'll love it here. You have officially reached the end of the internet. Would love to see some pics of your rides. :D Congrats and welcome once again. ;)

Let me echo that welcome, Joe.

Its super to have a member representing the great state of Alaska. Your GS replica project is obviously a labor of love and will be truly awesome when completed.

Good Luck and Welcome Aboard!
