Lately there have been a few requests for a Grand Sport (i.e., blue and white) car cover.

I have been in touch with my contacts at Eckler's and they are working with CoverKing to see what could be done. The plan is to make two samples... one for a coupe and one for a convertible... to see how they come out. If they look good and the price is decent, then we'll see about getting a GSR Group Purchase for them before they are made available to the general public.

I have no more information yet but will keep you posted. This is just in the planning stages right now. Stay tuned...

Jason, I actually DID put in the request for the hashmarks. We'll have to see.

I believe they are going to try to make the covers out of a lightweight, waterproof material (can't remember the durn name of it). The white stripe will more likely be a slivery material. There's a reason you haven't seen too many white car covers. :D

Also doubtful it will have pinstripes in order to keep the cost down.

Don't know how it will look yet but let's reserve judgement until we see it.

I think its cool they are even considering the project!

My cover already has an indented stripe down the middle... but its all grey. If it was the right colors, it would be ideal! Stripe is actually about the same width (little less) as the main stripe. I had no clue it was like this when I ordered it either, just dumb luck! Cool that they're considering it!

Not yet. They'll let me know when its done. Since this is being done on the cover companies R&D nickel, I don't expect them to be real speedy.
